Booking process and services
Plan with confidence

Choosing the right route and station matters as much as speed

Japan has a dense rail network. A city may have several major stations, and different Shinkansen services may depart from different locations. Check the city, full station name, travel date and direction before booking, and allow time to walk between platforms when changing trains.

Open Japan train booking

On mobile, open the Quitang mini program directly. On desktop, scan with WeChat to reach the Japan search page.

02 / Seat class

Choose for comfort and your itinerary

Check the available standard and higher-class options. Groups should also confirm seating arrangements.

03 / Baggage

Plan ahead for large luggage

Check the baggage rules and storage arrangements for your specific train and seat when carrying large items.

FAQ

Japan train ticket FAQs

Search early for busy dates, popular routes or group travel. Booking windows, availability and seats are shown on the booking page.

Travel credentials differ by product. You may use an electronic ticket or need to collect a ticket as instructed. Read the ticket delivery and boarding instructions in your order before departure.

Ordinary class suits most journeys. Green Cars typically offer wider seats and a quieter ride. Available classes depend on the train.

Search through Quitang’s Chinese-language booking links or choose an official railway channel for your route. Japan’s railways have different operators: check JR Central for the Tokaido Shinkansen and JR West for the Sanyo Shinkansen, for example. Compare total prices, payment methods, ticket formats and refund/change rules before paying.

Enter full departure and arrival station names and your travel date, then select a train and class to see the fare. Compare transfers, arrival times, payment currency and the final total. Charges are confirmed at checkout before payment.

Japan has no single ticketing website covering every railway product. Identify your route and operator, then follow the relevant booking channel from official sites such as JR Central or JR West. If unsure, start with the route and station guides on this page.
